Un-opened LS1's have been doing that for ages. There are 3 or 4 un-opened LS1's with 270 odd rwkw pulling 11's, current record being 11.73 I think it was.

You guys crack me up.

ummm yep, interesting LS1s with 270 rwkw running 11s and equivalent Ts running 12s. Porky Ts , need stallies :tease:

Drew,

Serios question, not sh*t stirring, I am surprised that with your horsepower ( as per your website ) you can only get a low 12 :tease: Is it a problem trying to get traction in a wagon? Guys here with 350+ rwkw's would be comfortably in 11's.

Luke.

A number of reasons, once been to drags once, my car is a a manual, I was in full street trim with street tyres at 36 psi etc, the wagon on that day was 1908 kg with me etc. Don't look at the time, look at the MPH I got, 120 mph, good for a low-mid 11 with traction.

I no longer have 350 rwkw, have to update my website. I now have a 427 (7 litre) with a small cam making 320 rwkw, but a mountain more torque every where, 860-915 nm across the entire rev range.

I think a LS1 with a blower is not stock.

What the comparison was the ammount of $$'s spent to gain the KW's

The LS1's need to spend a lot more money to get the same KW.

I dunno where the 427 came into it, but I am sure a Ford 460 could also make the same as a 427.

Yep Mal they just need $12,000 blue thunder cylinder heads

Miss Aly, what mods have you done to pull 258rwkw's from just $1500?

These figures intrigue me.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Edit, Injectors, centre muffler removed, Xtra air intake that's about it

I had the Xede fitted prior to the Edit and all we could get out of her was 225RWKW

When stock it was 180RWKW

Oh ok, I follow now. Great result then for the $$$ spent. Interesting that you used Expensive Daewoo Supercharged Six injectors, I know of a few high horsepower cars that use these injectors.

several had super charges on their 7 litre V8's and making between 245 and 300 RWKW

lol - yeah, right. A 7 litre (427) makes 320 rwkw with a 226 cam, approx 350-370 rwkw with a cam in the 240's, and 400 rwkw+ with a big cam. Add a blower and get anything from 600+. In case you hadn't noticed, they are 5.7 litres stock.

Why would any ones jaw drop for 258 rwkw? Un-opened LS1's have been doing that for ages. There are 3 or 4 un-opened LS1's with 270 odd rwkw pulling 11's, current record being 11.73 I think it was.

Im running 11.9 even without a stall... I was told with an converter in my car will be doing 11.6 with standard intercooler, internals and on pump fuel...now that will kick some LS1 arse :stirthepot:

Im surprised Geea hasn’t weighed into this thread. :stirthepot:

I love these debates though, whose got more power, whose got a quicker car etc. All I can say with what I have seen is that there is a bee’s d!ck difference between the Turbo’s and LS1’s with what you can do to them with so much money and what it will get you on the dyno and on the track etc. keep it up everyone, it is very exciting to see and hear about it. Long live the Holden / Ford rivalry.

I should have run my stock 225rwkw BA turbo, that would have put the wind up them!!!!
