We couldn't resist when Mario asked Brian and I to come along to the Monaro Dyno day to show them what the Turbo can make!! With only a few $$$

We took our cars to a Monaro Dyno Day at Mario's yesterday (Autotechnique in Rowville. Vic.)on Mario's request. Some of those guys have spent megga bucks on their cars, several had super charges on their 7 litre V8's and making between 245 and 300 RWKW and there were others that had spent huge money on making around the 315 to 340 RWKW. Most of these cars were very nice cars and sounded great. Then Mario asked us to roll our dirty old sixes in and the Expensive Daewoo guys weren't impressed at all. Aly's was run up first and made 258 RWKW not bad for just $1500 spent, then Brian's was next 292 RWKW he was pretty happy with that.

Mario's jaw dropped when Aly's car read 258RWKW!! Her last dyno at Mario's was 250RWKW.

A stock Monaro ran 180RWKW and the super charged ran 314RWKW that was the only Monaro that read the highest there.

Go the Turbo's :msm:

It was the best day!! Just to see the Expensive Daewoo guys faces when my T got the 258RWKW the factory went silent! hahaha...Prior to the Dyno one of the guys asked Mario what does the Turbo pull out?? 150RWKW?? this was good as Mario kept his mouth shut. Kept him in suspense till the read out!! :nono:

Now if only a T was as light as a LS1 powered car we might have some serious ass kicking goin on :spoton:

I think the next upgrade has to lose at least 50 to 80 kgs, funny since I got rid of my AU II XR8 and bought a BA, no Gen III's line me up any more, for some stupid reason it's 'P' Platers in V6 VN, VP, VR, VS blah blah. :nono:

Oh by the way, NICE WORK GUY'S :msm:

Was the supercharged car the Harrop Director's car or the guy with the VU Maloo?

Miss Aly, what mods have you done to pull 258rwkw's from just $1500?

These figures intrigue me.

Gee, they are impressive figures. Even the stock figure is awesome (220rwkw’s), only a 9% loss from flywheel to rear wheels. I have seen XR6T’s range from 180-210rwkw in stock form, seen a stock monaro pull 213rwkw’s. Just shows differences between dyno’s or maybe something else.

Sorry to hijack the thread somewhat.
