Guest brutebogart Guests Posted 14/06/05 09:58 AM Share Posted 14/06/05 09:58 AM my t went in for its 45k service today with a shopping list , one of the list is the diff which I have been complaining about since new it also has all the clunks in the drive and the clutch is getting heaver by the day, when I rang back at 4 oclock the main thing that was mentioned was the fact they found my chip under the dash and now they have to talk to ford about my problems, but strange enough they are going to change my diff which they found it earler it may have had them talking to ford sooner Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/18218-clunky-diff/#findComment-263055 Share on other sites

Even at 30k.My Mk2 manual had it from the first km. Terrible. Pointed it out to them at the 3k service and they said its within allowances and to "monitor it". (They are trained to say that as it implies Ford are treating it seriously...yet allows them to do nothing at all!)Interestingly, after my 1st service the diff clunked a little less. So I wonder if part of it was something they can tighten to reduce. However the main part of the clunk is still present - but not as often as it was before my service Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/18218-clunky-diff/#findComment-263551 Share on other sites
