Hey Goldbullet, mate can you please pm me with the results once done? I'd really appreciate it. :stirthepot:

Also, it is a bit confusing to me, some say gapping the plugs, others the cat, others say the intercooler.

With this in mind, I appreciate and welcome any other feedback you guys can supply, don't want the car sh*tting itself on me :msm:

Cheers

For what its worth mine backfired a few times following edit never to return after regapping the plugs.

If it has got something to do with the cat or IC then so be it but it will cost you nothing and only an hour of your time to do the plugs.

Take it from me (a mechanical novice) they are not hard to do particularly with the excellent instruction thread that someone posted here a short while ago.

Cheers Jordak mate

Did you get better plugs or the standard ones?

keep the standard, just close your gap to 0.9.... I have never worked under a bonnet before and it took me just under 3 hours to do the lot :spoton:

Just to add a different angle on this,Did it actually run any different when it backfired or did it just make a loud bang out the exhaust??

Point being is that when you remove mufflers and gut the cat then all the devices in the exhaust that are designed to stop the noises coming out the end are no longer there so the noise's are more audible.

Hope this makes sense
