I think I recall one guy mentioning it in a thread, he might be from NT- I think he was cruising at high speed for a while because of the open speed limit and it came on

I do not know whether this is the same light but I got that light just before my radiator spewed its guts. (faulty radiator that was replaced)

You may want to check you are not leaking radiator coolant or have any leaks there?

Cheers

Well, I guess we don't give our cars as much of a Hiding as Ford expected then....

I would guess if wouldn't be hard to get this light on if we have the turbo red hot, working hard

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

Fitting an oil cooler for track days would help, as for the temp light I would have the system checked out by ford.

I had the oil overtemp on a track day, 3-4 fast laps, flat out on a stock tune and it went into limp mode.

Interestingly on my last track day, with a 250rwkw Nizpro track tune - reduced boost, more timing) I had no such issues. (4 laps per run)

Fit an auxillery engine oil cooler if you plan on doing track days.

Had mine come on while at a track day too. Lit up and into limp mode at 225 F / 107 C as indicated on my oil temp guage. The oil warning light covers both temp and pressure problems, operation explained in the owners manual.
