Yes they are. I saw one (XR6) in sillhouette the other day and it looked mean! That's the only way to describe it! MEAN! it had that "get the F**K out of my way " look about it! Sorry, I meant I don't think my Silhouette XR6 has started production yet. But that's exactly the look I was going for, so I'm glad to hear it! Raptor Member 66 Member For: 22y 2m 18d Posted 21/11/02 10:27 PM Share Posted 21/11/02 10:27 PM ....Of course, I'm running about 37psi in the 19s compared to 42-43psi in the 17s.... Well the Engineering degree doesn't explain that one.Mr Plow, why the change in pressures? Why 40+psi in the 17's but lower pressures in 19's.What am I missing here? Aren't these higher pressures just to protect the rim from impact damage.I need some large diameter wheel/tyre education. I feel I'm being left behind on my 15's.Help! Guest DZ. Guests Posted 21/11/02 11:11 PM Share Posted 21/11/02 11:11 PM Extra pressure would also give you a firmer side wall - handy if your cornering hard. It's alleviated by a larger wheel diameter so you can run lower pressures which will help you're overall grip.42 PSI is pretty high though! Sounds strange, but oh well.I don't mind the cushier ride because it still handles quite well and it absorbs the smaller bumps and potholes to an extent. Gotta try 40psi though. For some reason, the tyres were pumped to 34psi, not 37 as I said - monkeys for tyre fitters I say!2. Yes, the car does feel like a go-cart now :( 3. Very precise handling thoughCJF077There's much fun to be had with 18s around a racetrack! :D
