I didnt used to like the black wheels - but for some reason they seem to be appealing to me.

Anyone have a photo of an XR6T with black wheels? What do you think it would look like on a lowered shockwave car with tinted windows?

Unless your car's also black that is :spoton:

For any other colour, silver/chrome/gunmetal etc etc are the only way to go. So says I anyway :spoton:

I've been coming round to the Typhoon scenario.  I would buy one over the the HDT Clubbie.  But at 43 perhaps I'm getting old.

Mate you are never too old...I'm nearing 40 and plan on getting the Phoon as my next ride.

SavageD - I used to think exactly the same - but the red Commodore, and another large saloon I saw the other day actually looked quite good.

Yeah, I suppose it depends on the car eh?

In a way I guess I'm biased against black wheels because I've spent so much time looking at mine. They turn almost completely black every week, because of the dust from my Bendix Ultimate pads! :stirthepot:

must...wash...wheels....

Doesn't matter what colour the wheels are or what the options are IMHO, they are still Horrible Sh!t Vehicles and FPV is whooping their bazooties in the sales stakes and on the road :spoton: . I love the look of shock on the faces of the drivers when the Grey Ghost wipes the road with them :tease:

To anyone who drives an HSV I only have one question WHY?:stirthepot:

I have driven a new clubby recently and it did NOTHING for me. It felt cheap, over priced and felt old with VT origins still showing. The out side looked too try hard. The phoon just has that appeal to it, when I see one my eyes are glued. When I see a clubby I think is it real and there another....But no air con etc. Cmon that's pathetic......HSV you can do better than that.......FPV keep doin what your doin......

You'd think that, I don't know if they still call it an "option" but when the current flavour of Commodores (I think that XY, I don't really know Commodores that well) first came out Air Con was an option, I know that because I worked with Die hard Late model camira fans whom where b**ching about it, and as far as I remember the only Late model camira which had Air Con as standard was the Statesman (not even the HSV's)

however I could be wrong and just sprouting  , but I don't think so...

Got the latest Motor Mag today, it has an article comparing a stock Clubby to a Clubby with the track pack. Only skimmed through the article but l think they are very impressed, the track pack Clubby was over 4 sec quicker around the test track than the stockie (52 vs 48 sec) Its a $10k option, great value :stirthepot: Good stuff HSV, its an excellent idea.

Your move FPV :tease:
