Guest Guests Posted 11/06/05 03:17 AM Share Posted 11/06/05 03:17 AM Reading the new Motor mag and in the back with the run down on all new cars you'll find the 0 to 100 kmph. Have a look at the XT Vs XR6 N/A. Any one got a answer about why that's the story? I'd post their findings but don't have the mag with me now, can say the XT put sh*t on the XR6. Anyone know if the vehicles used were autos or manual, or could the answer be the diff ratios. I would have thunk the T5 (crap it may be) would still be quicker 0 to 100 and down the quarter mile. Guest Guests Posted 11/06/05 03:52 AM Share Posted 11/06/05 03:52 AM But they recon the weight is the same in the mag, don't ask me how they'd do it. The time dif is about a full second on the 0 to 100kmph, and Ive heard the ratio in the diff arn't the same. After all the money Ive spent on my XR, I'll have to rip the page out of the mag before the wife finds it. anyone know the adress to ask motor a question? You may even say that with a 2nd CAI and the Edit a XT (taxie) may even flog a XR6T or XR8 ute. what a turn up. question is just how much work would have to be done to take out a XR6T four door?Any one got a XT out there, how about going to the nearest tip and doing a weight cheak for us all. I may do one with a work vehicle soon but not till next week.Last question, can we trust what they print on the times when motor say the XT and the XR6 weight is the same? Basically the a base XR6 is an XT with few cosmetic differences and different trim. The only "big" difference being in the wheels! IMO the base XR6 is pretty pov too.Hence my choice of transport!
