The functionality would come of you wanted to use larger diametre intercooler piping and get rid of the flat pancake style crossover on top of the engine.

I haven't done the exact measurements to see how and exactly where the XR-8 bonnet increases the area, but by looking at it, it would be pretty much where you need it.

I believe that is exactly what Herrod's Intentions are..

I have had a few drives of various T's, and XR-8's, and don't find the bonnet to hinder vision from a judgement point of view, but reckon it looks horn from behind the wheel.

I would not consider buying a car without driving it beforehand, and doing a lot of research about the good and bad points, which is why I like this forum, becasue you get great feedback about peoples experiences with the cars.

It definately depends on personal taste, but I reckon you should go for it if you like it. I believe in personalisations of cars and the bulge does look good. I would do something to my XR6T if I was to get one as well (thinking Fairmont chrome trimming around the car for one).

Heh, what about people putting TURBO badges on the back of their N/A XR6s? :D

Personally I would do it

makes the car look more aggressive and it is not the only defining feature of the XR8 so you could still tell them appart.

I am supprised that ford did not release this as part of the XR6T any way would probly boost sale little more as it looks

like a more aggressive sports car.

but again each to his/her own

I'm not touching it this time round!! :D

oh no ......... can't help myself ........ :(

With the amount of months you have to wait for an XRT, I don't think Ford would be concerned with 'boosting sales' - seems to sell itself just fine!! And I am thinking ....... if I saw an XRT coming towards me with an XR8 bonnet, what are the other 'defining features' that tells them apart??

(Hey BLKXRT - note I didn't actually comment on the bonnet itself ....... :D )
