Power to wheight is the real option they should have taken, but hey I started out with an LJ GTR and from there bikes o my P's I had a GSX-R 750 Hyper sports, v8s and now the Turbs. I was pulled over once just givin a chick a lift a couple hundred meters up the road ( no helmet) doh, yeah I know wrong, but quiet suburbia just up the road, any ways police never took notice I was on a 750 with P plates, just unlawful pilion.

But my point is I've grown up drivin high powered cars and bikes since I was 15 on back dirt roads, and belive me I've had my heart in the throat several times, have been in 100mph roll overs, near broke a helmet in half. I leanrt from that, a couple of times the hard way, but I'm still here, still alive, just?.

So I 'm not going to argue how the goverment implements this new law, really any implementation that can save kids killin em selves and give em more time behind the wheel before letting into a hipo car is fine by me, as I've siad I had some damn close calls and althought the gov can never get it right, just look at social security LOL at least they have made a start.

And as we know a lose of a froum members car of late simply from standing on the loud peadl at 90kmh in the wet shows, with out respect for high HP cars you can easily lose one but hope fully not young lives cause they WILL just stand on the LOUD PEDAL every cahnce they get espescially to show off often with muliple passangers.

The way it is.

I think the problem is society today. :sleepystuff:

We expect the government to act as our parents.

This is due to the minority of stupid people that do stupid things.

Thanks to lawyers we need to apply blame for anything and everything. You can thank the good old USA for that. :censored:

Parents should be the one telling their kids that their first car should not be a turbo charged import, and to buy a laser :gooff: .

Now while a laser can do 100km/h, it cant do it in 6 seconds in a residential street.

We are all paying for this knee jerk policy in both freedoms and money.

I's a double edge sword Zap, but its for the majority.

You say its only a few that bugger it for the majority but I say differnt, If you take say 10 teenagers and stuck em behind a 300+ horsepower straight from school bugger all driving experince, comon dude you can see what happens the next hing they know the cars facing backwards with a Bdouble comin at em.

I started on trail bikes about 12 and cars early teens hell even before then I was screamin down Berowra Waters 4km down hill run on skete boards at 75kph and yeah I'd be damn pissed if the gov introduce this on me at the time, cause buy the time I got my license I'd had quite a bit of experience, but take a kid 16 9mth, and would you give him the keys to your XR6TURBO?

It all comes down to individuality of each person I believe Para... set apart each person, advanced driver course or something, its just plain wrong to cover Daihatsu Copen's when my missues wants one and she is the most careful driver known to me... worst back seat driver I know :spoton:

Would I give the keys to my XR6T ... yes no probs .... would I give it to my mate who is off his Ps .... NO FREAKIN WAY !!!!

Just wrong to punish and discriminate based on the fact your a P plater ... the day after when you get your full licence you dont gain skill ... but under this crud you could gain a car you have no ability to drive

My input :spoton:

PS oh yeah and ZAPT ... Lasers go hard if you pick em :spoton:

I could only see R33 and R34 GTR's on that list also...

no words of R32's...

Well that's ironic, as the R32 GTR was the only GTR to be officially distributed and imported into Australia by Nissan :spoton:
