V8's are good, supercharged V8's are muuuuuch better! :spoton:

I'll help you out with advice as much as I can if you decide to go blown.... the sound of a Vortech at idle is very tasty!

Buy an XR8 and purchase a nice screw blower, don't waste your time with a Vortech. You'll need a custom manifold or wait until the BPT one is ready for production, but it will make masses of torque from idle to redline and be an absolute monster on the street and strip. With a good set of rods and pistons and some boost 10's should be no problem if you can get it to hook up.

Screw blowers basically make full boost straight off idle which stays flat all the way to redline, while a centrifugal blower like a Vortech only builds boost with revs. Screw blowers are awesome for massive torque all through the rev range while centrifugal blowers need revs.

I think the screw tyoe sits directly on top of the manifold

This might sounds stupid, but how about a 4WD Territory with a Turbo transplant engine in it? Or get the stock 6cly rebuilt to handle some big boost and bolt a big turbo to the sucker! They have heaps of room under the bonnet! :) But then I guess you have to worry about the drive train and it all get too expensive.

But I would be pretty cool to see a 2000kg 4WD Territory with 22inch rims dumped on its ass run a 11 second quater!

Geea??

Was hitting the 10's your ultimate goal??

(congratulations on that :spoton: )

and if so maybe its a case of not having the next goal in place.

How long will that record remain with you?

(not mentioning any names (jeff)) :spoton:

I think - sit on it for a while - then decide where your passion lies and go with the gut feeling.

:)
