A black XR6T with some minor modifications.

Well looked after by a fastidious second owner.

Goes quite well. Only driven to church on Sundays..... :stirthepot:

Mate I was going to supercharge my xr8 and try and go for it but decided against it and bought the Turbo. We're still to see a supercharged xr8 pull some good times, if you were to do it I recon there would be a better challenge in being the fastest NA or better still twin turbo's.

Craig, it sounds like you've got itchy feet and need a new project. How far are you prepared to go now with your current car or are you happy with where its at?

Your challenge will be to get the right money for your T but as you say, you can't lose from putting it on the market. And if it doesnt sell, you still have the fastest T in Oz which cant be a bad thing. :stirthepot:

Good luck.

What times are the 8's running nowadays?? with that much weight, and torque going thru the back wheels, I think there would be issues going super quick with out spending up on suspension/traction mods??

the 'T' has the advantage of getting going before the power hits, improving traction greatly, an 8 though it'd be an animal from idle..

If your going to sell, do it before Spiko or bcl hit the track...

I think either one is good, but remember the power is not a problem with the xr6t , you can get another 50 kw out of it with inlet and some other small mods, but it is the driveline that is the weak link, (but that is the same in both) is the twin turbo legal ? With the right convertor your car has the ability to run a ten, (street trim) would be nice to see that first. and I think it is worth thinking how you would feel if it never could match your six, because it is very posible. it is heavier than your six so more strain on your driveline, but there is allways the sound. david
