I think the gtr that he is talking about that is over $100,000. it is the japanese v spec and is an import and it is the one that a poor kid slammed into a pole with a while ago.

I think motor did a comparison between the gtr v spec, the phoon and a charger a few months ago and the gtr was in a class of its own. like any of these high po japanese cars they really have to be driven flat out to get the most power out of them and you really struggle with these types of cars

I would have one in a second but for just driving around, in traffic etc another car would be better.

I wonder how many people commenting as authorities have driven an R34 V spec :tease: (worth over $150k new actually, not $100k).

I have had the privilage of driving one and being driven around in one by a talented driver.

It was the most gob smacking experience in any type of car that I have had. I was sh*tting at how fast this thing was, how hard it braked, how it turned into corners and just took off like a rockership leaving the corner, the amount of speed it held through corners and bends, the way it boosted sooooooo hard and so on....

Interesting enough is the fact that the difference was not massive between the R32-33-34 in basic performance numbers (well it actually was significantly better at the N'berg track), rather it got incredibly refined and smoothed out.

Can't beat Goddie IMO

these prices are more realistic... a gtr r34 vspec with about 30000km on the clock in good condition is about $100 000.

A brand new is one a lot more, as mercstev said over $150 000

If you can get one for $60 000, it would of done a million miles and be in shocking condition.....

if you want one with 40 000km to 50 000 km on the clock your still looking $85K-$99k.

any cheaper then that... your dreaming (for a good example that is) :spoton:

yeah the gt-r had about 10 grand worth of mods though, I dont know what they were but the thing was extremely quick, mid 12's. They had a R34 GT-R compared with a VX GTS ages ago in wheels mag, abit of a better comparison I guess, it pulled a 13.5 quater if im not mistaken.. but for little money, the thing has huge potential. It's already amazingly quick but the bloody Jap government had to put a power restriction of 206kw :spoton: people still reckon that they come stock with around 270, but who knows.

PS. Mods included little engine work, and HUGEEE breaks.

My first post in this thread.

GT-R rules, and in many ways it would have been far easier just to buy one.

Todays SMH has a story of 20 GT-Rs that Nismo are building;

2.8L 6-piston Brembo 368kW (jap kw?) 10.06 sec 1/4.
