hey im sorry but if someone said to me what would you prefer (if money wasnt an option)an xr6t or an r34 gtr than I would take the gtr anyday, not modified this things are running around 13.1 1/4 and will runs rings round a xr6t anyday on a race track.

But in saying that I love my falcon and if I had alot of money I would have both, but hey you guys can argue all you like but if it isnt a skyline it will be another sort of car that will beat you, there is always something faster and better  on the roads

what ever tickles your fancy I guess... the GTR is a great car and 5 years ago I would of chosen that over a T any day.... but I guess if money didnt come into it you would be choosing between the phoon and the GTR (to make the comparison half fair)... with a wife and a kid, the phoon would get my nod anyday over the GTR...

am guessing that when a few phoons hit the streets with edit and the like... there will be a lot of embarressed gtr drivers around :fool:

I can't even believe people compare the two.

There is no comparision.

The Skyline is built for the track and the XR6T is built with the taxi market in mind plus to cart families around! And if people believe they have dragged of GT-Rs your dreaming. They are just too quick off the line, in a straight line, in corners and out of corners. Stock GTS-T is no problem, been there done that, but a GT-R, you got no hope unless the bloke pedalling it is a stooge or one of the turbos has fallen off!

Please don't make yourselves look like fools by putting down one of the greatest cars ever built just because it is Japanese... I used to bag the Jap scene but I have driven a few modified and non modified jap cars now and respect them. Drive one before you comment on them!

Some ppl here are kidding themselves aren't they??

It was the Ford that was 'Riced up' by adding a Turbo to it's 6.

I'm glad ford did it, but for the love of god, it's a GTR .....

As for "it had GTR writted on it", geez it says OXO on busses too!!!!

A GTR is almost in the "supercar" class, while XR6T's are big, heavy, turbo (soon to be) taxi's.

Any car can go fast in a straight line. Get an XR6T and an R34 GTR on the track together and do some laps, then tell me which car is quicker.

Hahaha the XR6T slogin should be "Thanks god for warrenty".

I just wanted to say, I love this thread! but once again it comes down to who has more money, my ute will give a GTR a hiding in a straight line but is that fair as mine is moded and once that starts it only stops with who has the deepest pockets.

No doubt the R34 is one of the greatest cars ever built though I prefer the R32 and that would be my pick if I ever bought one. No doubt around the twisty stuff a GTR would run away from me, but gee I reckon the ute could drift better.

I own a phoon. I love my phoon! GTR's are a better car. Fact!

for a single man

better performance no doubt  .... but I still wouldnt buy one unless I could afford it as a spare for myself only.

man the two can't be compared.. is a freakin' GT-R for gods sake!! these things had to be bloody down-tuned for production..

as for a modded T vs a modded GT-R, you're joking arent you? the gt-r is just a better car. and by the way, if im not mistaken, the skyline has one of the most technically advanced 4wd system on any production, so I dont think he would be struggling for traction, unless it has a million kw and the driver is some nut who dropped the clutch at 7000rpm off the line..

I might add, the xr6t is my favourite car in the multiverse and I mean no offence to the lucky drivers of these cars!!

you say there will be alot of embarrassed gtr drivers round once the phoon gets an edit well I dont think you can compare a stock car against a modified car, if you where to do the same equal amount of money on each car I still think the GTR will hose it, but as someone else has said you shouldnt compare modified cars it should be stock against stock

I think people should get over the fact that it is a rice car from japan and realise that it beat all the aussie v8s years ago and the same model today ( over 12 years old) will still put most stock cars to shame
