Funny, since the GT-R isnt a 2.0ltr...

XR6T is an awesome car for what it is, but please dont compare it to a GT-R.

I think its fine to compare all cars so long as it doesn't degrade into a mud slinging match...

I'd love a GTR but being a big guy 6'5 and about 115Kgs I don't think I'd ever fit into a rice burner... (even a nice one)...

A stock XR6T vs Stock GTR I would take the GTR anyday. Heard they run 1/4 12.7 stock..that's awesome if true  :gfight:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Maybe true but I like to match $ for $. Those GTR's arnt the same price of a stock T, there almost double. Now If I were buy a T for $40000 and even spend $40000 on it (80K in total) it would kill the GTR. Its the same as buying a VL turbo for 10K spending 30K on it to match the price of a new Stock T, the vl would kill the T. But you have to agree all aussie performance cars are bargains and have enormous performance potential, so up the T.... :gfight:

The fastest time run by an Australian GTR which was GTR700 at 8.27 I think. Cars I don't think can be compared once modified, must be from factory. The price you'll pay for a good quality GTR R34 is well above what you'll pay for an XR6T so I don't think they're in the same category.

This is true. For what I think of it, the XR6T is a very brisk, large family car with excellent mod potential. The GT-R was and is a purpose built Group A homogolation race car.

They're not just in different price catergories, they also have completely different design briefs. Both accomplish what they set out to do EXTREMELY well..

Lumpy :gfight:

This will be an intersetsing topic :stirthepot:

Now, get this y'all.

I love my "T" especially since the Edit. ***BUT*** anyone who compares the two is seriously taking drugs (or the wrong ones :tease:).

The T can't beat the new Expensive Daewoo range, anthing with the 6.0 LS2 will beat a stock T quite easily. So here's an idea, lets go and compare it to the Bathurst Killa (and that was something like 10 years ago too!).

Common, I am all for comparos and talking up the T, but even I wouldn't even begin comparing a race bred car that is listed as one of the top 10 all time influencial and best cars since the inception of the automobile.

The last R34 model ran consistent 4.4 0-100clicks and 12.4 - 12.7 quarters. Are we at all serious about this post guys?

Don't even start talking about Vs a modded GTR for Christ sake....

That said, this forum is often very entertaining for many reasons, these comparo posts are good value IMO and often a pissa. :spoton:

May as well compare the T to a Kawasaki.....

The only resonable answer is to own both!! :stirthepot:
