I love my T's but your comparing 2 completely different things..

Ok, for all the people who keep saying 'Don't compare the GTR to the T', STOP IT!

The only people talking about GTRs now, are the ones saying 'Don't compare bla bla bla'.

Now lets get back to comparing GTS Skylines with XR6Ts.

I had one of the most memorable runs I've ever had in my T against a Silver R33. (At the drags ofcourse)

Lowered, big rims, big cannon exhaust, GTR wing, similar bodykit, noisy bov, front mount. Looked capable... And turns out it was, but not quite capable enough.

Exiting a roundabout, side by side. Me on the inside, right hand lane. A corolla was in my lane, maybe 15-20m ahead.

Skyline takes off WOT. I wait a half second for him to get ahead, then WOT as I change lanes to chase him, right on his rear bar. Return to my lane as I pass the corolla and slowly pass the R33.

Was quite a close run.

The most impressive thing though, was the flame this thing was throwing from it's exhaust on gear changes. Literally a four foot plus long flame out of this thing. Very FastandFurious, but very funking cool.

Now, don't ask me why they had a roundabout and a car in my lane at the drags. I don't know.

I remember when the GTR came out(R32), they ran one 0-100 against Mr Brocks VP Touring car, the GTR was quicker.

It really is Apples and Grapefruit here guy's, it's like when before the T came along, the Rex was the duck's guts and every Tom Dick and Harry was comparing it to the HSV's, well I dont know about you, but I would'nt tow a boat or the like with a Rex or a Skyline, so just stop it, and admit that they are all awsome car's in their own right, all your really comparing is Bang For Your Buck, and for that the Rex's and the T's have it in spades.

Having said all that, the GTR is a God like car that changed the way we looked at Production car's in it's day, much like the 930 turbo Porsche did in the early 80's, and the Rex's and the T's have done in the 90's & 00's.

I had a run against a skyline a couple weeks ago

imported.....x drift car

first run.......rolling start from 40ks......flogged him to about 100ks

he said no traction

second run....he hit it first... he got the jump.....even till 80ks then I was about to say by by.......t intersection put pay to that

all I got is the edit and a dynowog tune

I think one point we r missing here is that there are no stories here of ne one runing against a real gtr, and I havent heard about ne gtr's pulling against a real modded on road T like geea's so he could have taught them a lesson.

plus how many 9 sec gtr's have u's seen onroad??

Another point how much would u pay to get a 10 sec gtr compare to a well look aftered 10 sec T like geea's for aroound 55k. so u can use it as both family and sports car.

like I said before bring ne gtr and put 3 people in it and also take a 10 sec T and put the same many people than tell me wat the outcome is gonna be?

I am sorry. I still lack to see your point. So going by this because the T is cheaper and can be modded to go faster IN A STRAIGHT LINE it makes it the best car in the world? Get over yourself. The Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carrera GT cost more then most peoples houses, even 2 or 3 times the price of their houses. They only run low to mid 11's in the ¼ so they are crap because a modded T could beat it? Why not buy a old mazda, dump a big HP rotor in it and it willbe quicker then a T for a lot cheaper? Makes it a better car? A better buy? NO OF COURSE NOT!

It takes more then a quick ¼ mile time to be a sports car, it requires braking, turning... Yes a sports car needs the complete package. The T WILL NEVER match any real sports car like a GT-R or Ferrari in this because of one major thing. Its weight. the T is a TANK!
