hey im sorry but if someone said to me what would you prefer (if money wasnt an option)an xr6t or an r34 gtr than I would take the gtr anyday, not modified this things are running around 13.1 1/4 and will runs rings round a xr6t anyday on a race track.

But in saying that I love my falcon and if I had alot of money I would have both, but hey you guys can argue all you like but if it isnt a skyline it will be another sort of car that will beat you, there is always something faster and better  on the roads

what ever tickles your fancy I guess... the GTR is a great car and 5 years ago I would of chosen that over a T any day.... but I guess if money didnt come into it you would be choosing between the phoon and the GTR (to make the comparison half fair)... with a wife and a kid, the phoon would get my nod anyday over the GTR...

am guessing that when a few phoons hit the streets with edit and the like... there will be a lot of embarressed gtr drivers around

but as someone else has said you shouldnt compare modified cars it should be stock against stock

that's correct wados... I agree... am only saying that as most gtrs will hose most slightly modofied vehicles regardless... I dont think this will be the case with the phoon..... But I do agree... then again.... How much does a phoon cost and how much does gtr cost??? can we really compare at all... probably not... both in a different class I guess.

well I guess you are talking bout a r34 price and I think they are anywhere above $75,000, but hey you can pick up a r32 gtr for round 25,000 these days but I think I would prefer the tornado before I bought a r32 gtr

Price is really the only thing that puts cars into categories. Take magazines for example, they will pich the GT against a clubsport etc. You wont see an XR8 against a GTS simply because they are in a different league, same as a GT-R (or gts-t or whatever they are) and a T. Once modded both will both be weapens there is no doubt and it certainly comes down to has the biggest pocket. They both have turbos but im afraid that's where their similarities end....

This thread makes as much sense as loging on to www.holdenbarinaforums.com.au and posting up a thread about how much better the XR6T is compared to a Barina.

Apples with apples please, and yes the GTR is everybit as incredble as the GTHO Phase 3 was 30 years ago.

I tried being polite in my first few posts on this topic. That stops now.

Common guys, there is NO COMPARISON here :fool: . Let's get real. Under ANY performance circumstances, it's an easy win to the GTR.

For those who haven't a clue how to spot one, here's a really simple check for you.

Ever heard of BREMBO's????? GTS-T's simply don't ave em. :spoton:

Modded T or Phoon, a stock R34 runs 12.7 qters and 4.4 0-100 clicks :msm:

This thread should be closed really. :spoton:

This post is becoming interesting, but as I said before I compare $ for $. If a GT-R is $100000 then I only think its fair to buy a T for $45000 and spend $55000 on it, then see how they go. But in terms of stock vs stock there is no comparison...we spend $40000-$50000 on our T's. I believe those GT-Rs are in the $100000 mark.

At 100.000 bucks I hope the GTR u are refering to is gold plated and has 11ty billion awkws! An R34 can be had for as little as 60 g's these days. So if you option up a T you could get close to that figure. But don't forget the 34 has enough electronic gizmos to keep a NASA pilot happy for weeks!

I beleive we are talking new car prices here.

Regardless this thread is stupid the xr6t is a car in its own league as is the GTR.

I personally prefer my T ,it`s cheaper to insure,it has australian heritage,it has four doors and seats 5 in comfort and its quick.

The GTR is quick, has only 2 doors(ripped off) and would be lucky to fit 4 people comfortably.

But this thread has dragged on and on and on and on.

The only answer is to petition ford to build a 2 door T add carbon fibre,AWD and a few more kilowatts ,homoglate it as the GTR`s were and blow the little bastards into the weeds.

And that's the end of that, thanks for reading as Derryn Hinch would say that's life.
