Welcome to the forums..

If you want a HEAD TURNER then its GOT TO BE A XR6T.... don't burn your eyes looking at the dark side.

For me my phantom beast is :- performance, comfort, torque, turbo, TONS OF FUN, all this at a reasonable cost.

Later.. if you want to mod there are plenty of avenues, and it should take only a year or so to read all the info....

at this point be prepared to become SERIOUSLY OBSESSED!!!

gday all, just looking for some good info from you guys seeing as you all know ALOT more about these kinda things than me, im lookin to purchase n xr6t soon just wonderin wat I should go for ie. sedan or ute, man or auto, options n such

btw I know practically sh*t all bout cars so wen I get it look forward to hearin alot more from me

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

hi mate,

I think it would be better to buy a auto seden if you are thinking of modding it. it would be fast with the auto. as the turbo's like auto's cuz they can keep the boost high and the boost keep coming back quicker. as for man the boost goes down when you change gear. that's my understanding.

cheers

hold off and get the PBR brake package (which is available through sources on these forums) they are a good package and you can get them cheaper than the cost of the 'premium brakes' upgrade when you order your T... save the cash (around $500 or so)... :spoton:

your right it is a stupid question lol

well in regards to sedan or ute it depends on your needs ie do u have a family, do u need 5 seats and could u use a ute for work.

Auto or manual comes down to drving style, auto is faster but manual is more enjoyable. If quarter miles and modding your car is your thing then auto is the go but if back roads and traffic aint a problem then be a man and drive with three pedals.  :nono:

oh by the way :spoton:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

hahah thanks for that, its just I got no1 to really ask bout this since most of my mates have the mind set of "if it aint a commodor it aint worth squat"

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Time for new mates then :jerry:

Sigh, it's all true. I had no wish whatsoever to do anything to my previous car, and I thought I'd be happy with a stock T. To my wife's great dismay, I too have fallen for the modding bug with the T and it's already been the cause of a number of family, ummm, disputes!! :kissmy:

Ah, what the hell, my wife should have seen it coming - my bike's been the subject of heaps of mods, it was only a matter of time before my attention turned to the car... :kissmy:
