I can read posts until I slit my wrists about XR6T's having the centre mufflers removed, however has anyone had it done on a BF MKII Typhoon? (Not that there would be much difference, apart from the cat).

Just interested to read if anyone has.

Cheers!

centre muffler will do nothing, the xforce system will require the car to be retuned, the cat is the main thing that causes over boosting

Some more sound clips would be nice......

I'd love to hear a gutted cat with hot dogs replacing the cenre muff..........

haha yeah mate ive got this exact setup. Sounds pretty tough, I also run no BOV and the flutter is alot louder too. You will need a retune and injectors as it will probably overboost and the std injectors cannot handle the guttered cat.

The only problem ive found with centre mufler removal is that when throttle is fully closed and using gears to slow down (with a T56) you get some backfire and a lot of 'burble'.

Car is also very loud in the first five or so minutes on full cold start.

That is definitely true, both points.
