Good job Geea. Do you have before and after figures for rwkw?

Any shots of your hot dogs, Hoot?

The resinator bit is a foot long, the holes inside it are like rifeling in a gun barrel, just takes the trucklike sound off it,will post a pic later.

This may sound like a far reached request, but if anyone has done this, and is still running minor mods (no chip) anychance to get a sound bite of it posted, so we can all hear it, even the guys with mods too, just to hear the difference.

This was my first exhaust mod.

Also instead of a dual 2.25" I asked for a dual 2.5", because after that I increased the size of the rear pipes.

Also, I'd recommend you should make sure that it's mandrel bent, to keep a consistent diameter, otherwise an exhaust shop won't, and probably why they'll charge a cheaper price. The attached photo shows what I mean.

Tuffy Mufflers at Waterloo (next door to C&V) did my work, and they do exhaust work for C&V. They can be contacted on (02) 9319-1836. Ask for Mike or Ron for more information.

Craigles,

looks like another good mod, my only concern is that you press bent it & not mandrel. But maybe I'm being a bit picky just that your eternal ET quest might have seen some benefit from it being mandrel.

Another question geea, is this still the same exhaust setup your running now?

Yep its the same pipes I'm still running.

I have a sound file of my car, I think before the chip. I'll try figure out a good way of posting it.

Geea, my husband & I were in a exhaust shop today and we asked him what he do and how much it would cost to open the exhaust up and rumble a bit more.

He said he would have to order the pipes and mufflers in, he also commented that we could have a dual system or 3 inch single system at a cost of $550. My husband thinks its fairly costly and also it could be a waste of time considering we may get the APS Phase 1 put on later on (we're not sure as we are not certain of costs at this point in time) so we are unsure at the moment.

What would you suggest we do??

Costs of APS Phase 1 also would help out.

Thanks Geea

I'd recommend having a drive to Frankston and talking to the guys at Fastfit. If you read my mod thread you will find all their details or you could look them up in the yellow pages.

Regarding the Unichip phaseI. I believe that the chip alone is approx $1500 and chip and injectors is approx $2300. I'm not sure of these prices though. It would be best to check the APS web site to see what they have to offer. I believe that the exhaust is part of the APS phase II kit.

If your only going to do a few little mods have a read HERE. It's what I have done and may offer you a few ideas. I went with the Xede and it was supplied and fitted by Melbournes Chiptorque dealer Amberley Auto's in Dandenong, ph 97931616. I highly recommend them.

Any questions you can and I'll help if I can.
