what is name of the place in brissie jetute?

cheers

In jetute's absence I'll try and answer this - I'm pretty sure it's Exotic Exhausts in Sumner Park. I've rung 'em a couple of times and Ross is most helpful. :censored:

Their number is 07 3279 6355. :censored:

Hi guys, only just picked up my new 6 speed man t and don't know much about them at all, but this removing the centre muffler sounds good a bit of extra grunt and improving the sound for so little money, but ? is do you have to tune after removing the muffler , also if fitting a cai , after doing this do you need to tune , any ideas which one is best , thanks guys

Gday,

Can somebody tell me about this centre muffler, my cousin, who also owns an XR6T, told me I could remove it but needed a chip to get the full benefit of the power increase, can I remove it and not have a chip? will it run like crap or can I get it tuned as it is, minus the middle muffler?

Anybody who has any other tight arse mods like these I would be happy to hear about :)

Centre muffler removal will give a stock T a note, but not alot more.

Edit will give you good bang for your $$$$ if you can scrpate together $1200 or $1500.

Another cheap mod is a 2nd cold air intake. Do a search as there is a few types you can do yourself for less than $50.

Went to an exhaust place today enquiring about getting the centre muffler taken out of my N/A ute. The guy behind the counter said he would do it for about $100 but recons I would get a much better note spending money on a propper cat back system $450.

I havnt heard any XR's that have the centre muffler removed but this guy recons that most of the guys that have had it done at his shop have whinged about the noise and replaced the muffler or changed to the cat back.

Havnt made my mind up yet what I am going to do but in your case I think the stock centre muffler has pretty decent flow and wont give any performance gains. From what I have read here you really gotta do the intake + extractors + cat to get a decent improvement, then throw in an edit to extract the full potential out of your mods.

hmm, I wouldn't believe what he's told you... although an NA might be different? but I got my centre muffler removed and hot dogs in place, and it sounds sweet. Do a search on "centre muffler" and a whole heap will come up. I got a post in there some where with a video clip, as does bain.
