I had my rear muff replaced today due to an accident the car was invloved in a couple of months ago.... The sound changed a lot and is not as aggressive as it was before :msm:

still a very nice note though :spoton:

Heres 2 clips.

1st: Outside the car, doing a drive off and drive by.. heh

2nd: Short acceleration clip from inside the car.

(right click and save as)

All up it cost me about $240 (receipts in the car - ill double check that afterwards)

that's including the 2 stainless steel tips. When you take it to your exhaust place, make sure they can weld with stainless steel, otherwise your weld joints will start to rust if they use standard mild steel.

Went and got some prices for the same setup as Bain. Quoted me $320 for the lot but he says he received some info the other day for 3 new setups for the T and he's ringing me back this arvo.

As it turns out I need a new rear muffler anyway. The old one is a bit hollow sounding and is on it's last legs. Music to my ears it was. Now the ball'n'chain can't say no to an upgrade :stirthepot::laughing:

Get them to weld the tips on with stainless welding wire/rods. The welds will be stainless and wont rust. :spoton:

In jetute's absence I'll try and answer this - I'm pretty sure it's Exotic Exhausts in Sumner Park. I've rung 'em a couple of times and Ross is most helpful. :spit:

I have the centre muffler removed, with no hotdogs and altho not the perfect note its a lot better than the stock sound. Sounds a little to truckish for some but generally its ok. Should cost about 300$ with hot dogs I think.
