Oh yeah, I'm assuming you have hotdogs, right? That's definitely the way I'll go, but I'm intrigued by ENVY-T's comments - surely yours must be considerably louder without the 'dogs?! And don't you suffer a bit from drone if you're cruising at the 100-110km/h mark?Sounds like a goer then, round 3452314523 with the wife comin' right up... I can't comment on what it sounds like with the dogs, but I don't have any drone at 100-110 kms. Maybe the slightest hint of it at 60-65, but I always drive around in perf mode, so I don't get it. Great job done by Viney....Apparently I should get around 50-60kms more on a tank as well as around 10% more power with the muffler restriction taken off.Great note too...... dutchie

Be very careful with the cat mod as you may find your car's boost spiking due to a huge decrease in back pressure and forcing it in to limp mode. It is not an issue when modding with piggyback or flash though.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I take it you are only taking about when the Cat is removed/changed? If it is just the centre muffler taken out, I believed that the boost spiking wasn't a problem?

turbomuz Member 209 Member For: 19y 7m 21d Location: Canberra Posted 11/07/05 11:05 PM Share Posted 11/07/05 11:05 PM I just replaced my centre muffler with hotdogs last Friday. Out of curiosity, I also had before and after power runs on the dyno. Overall gain at the wheels - 2kW and 10Nm.Not a big difference, but the sound - oh baby!!!
