9689 0000 speak with Steve. Twin pipes 2.5" mandrel, cat all for $320 :spoton:  :doc1:

Did not talk power gains, but have read many times that those two areas are the biggest offenders in reducing power. Will see you Sunday :spoton:

See, I told you they would do you a good price...so they would do the centre section for $70??? Fark, that's less then I payed for my second hand set!!! :ermm:

what size is the cat they're offering??

Go Davo you good thing! :w00t2: Yeah, $70 is pipes only (2 of course, manderl 2.5") but when I rang today to book in for tomorrow, I wanted to be sure that I could bolt on the old ones, so he added extra $8 x 4 for flanges, so $102 now all told plus $250 for a 2.5" stainless X Force Cat fitted. Will do 3.5" cat, same details and same cost, $250. :crybaby:

Thanks dude.

:spoton: Went in today, had an issue with Steve not having the single in, twin out Cat as I thought was agreed. :msm: So we were going one full pipe from there back to the muffler, but it was too small at 2.5", so I am going back in there another time to go 3" Cat back, leaving standard muffler.

You coming on the weekend Dave? :w00t2:

Hey Rob, does the T droan at all?

Also, did you change the Cat as well? I am going 3" ho flow Cat, One 3"pipe all the way through to the rear muffler and one hotdog to quieten the b**ch down a bit :msm:

Any thoughts, good or bad? :spoton:

Hey Steve,

It does droan a bit when sitting on the freeway but I dont mind this sound. I had a mate give the car a squirt past me and its got that rumble sound like an V8... :spoton: I hav'nt as yet changed the cat however will be doing this very soon aswell as the down pipe off the turbo. A 3 inch system does the trick well as a 3 1/2 may be a bit to loud without the muffler. If you are getting the cats done have in mind if you are going to change the down pipe so you can do this all at once.

Cheers Rob, Good to hear the note is :glad: and the droan not too much of a  to deal with. I will change the Cat and back from there only, although it will allow for 3" input from the turbo back if I ever decide to go that way. :spoton:

please keep in mind Steve, that if you change the cat to a higher flowing one you will get boost cut with an edit or chip...

also a 3" will not flow as much as a twin 2.5" exhaust, if you're going to go a single pipe go 3.5"...

Dave.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes I agree with Dave 100%.

I was thinking of going 3.5" from the cat back, with a hot dog and straight thru rear muffler. Hopefully wont be to loud, and not droan to much. Ill change the cat to a hi flow 3.5 when I get the EDIT

I know the factory setup leading to the cat is quite good as it is. Its a 3" cast dump and flows into 3" or 3.5" anyways. I think there is not much better than that as anything else wont be justified by the cost you'll pay, and the kw gain will be minimal.
