So I thought I'd do some research and post my findings here....I finally had the work done last week and absolutely love the results. I chose a 2x2.5inch mandrel bent replacement section, with 2 hot dogs replacing the centre muffler. The car now has a much deeper and sharper note to it without being too loud, thanks to the hot dogs. IMHO, the new exhaust note of the car is how it should have come out of the factory.Exotic Exhausts, the guys I chose to do the work:- Are a bunch of rev heads who love performance cars- Love custom work and do a lot of it- Have their own cutting equipment for the end plates, which kept the cost down.Apparently the guys have made up jigs for this mod so duplicating what was done on my car will be quick and easy.I'll attach a few pics of the new system for those who haven't seen it done before. Please feel free to PM me if you want any additional info regarding this mod, or if you want to catch up to hear how it sounds.CheersI went to Exotic Exhaust today and got mine done the same, and I also think it sounds perfect. Not too loud, but beefy down low, with a sweet note up high.I ordered it a week ahead and when I got there it was all made up ready, took a whole 15min to swap it over, hose down my old muffler so it was cool enough to put in the boot, and away I went, with an all up cost inc fitting of $260. I'm real happy with all that. B.B.congrats on the mod stardust... am sure you wont lose any sleep over the next 3 weeks or so  .... let us know know what the outcome is with the 2nd tail pipe as I was planning on doing the same

Doubt it will fix itself, these computers are designeed by Ford not to respond to mods. That’s my guess, not gospel...Cheers

We have done almost 30, and mine is getting done tomorrow. There is no loss in performance, all that happens is when you go past, say, 1/4 throttle, the engine light comes on, and "usually" stays on until you stop accellerating. It does log a code in the ECU, a quick hookup with a PDS/WDS will verify this.I would say its pure coincidence that the engine light is coming on after the exhaust was done. Give your dealer a quick call, and ask if there has been any problems with the engine light coming on while accellerating. If you have no luck with that, let us know.....that's what I reckon, will be interesting to see how close I am! Lastly, where and how much dude? yeah it's nice...it does droan ever so slightly in some situation...but I don't think it's worth spending the extra $$ for...it's about as loud as an APS exhaust, just not as refind a sound as it...I bought mine second hand from a guy on FF...but I was going to go to;Radiant Exhaust287 Geelong rdFootscray West9689 0000they are the cheapest and remember you want twin Mendrel bent 2.5"...I hope this helps steve...Dave.
