I had mine done awhile ago, replaced with 2.5" mandrel bent, sound is good, but a bit of a drone up to 80kph and on trailing throttle etc around town, great on the highway etc.

But, after looking at the rear muffler/resonator, (unsure which it is)

this is where th big restriction is, it goes from 2.25" down to 2. inch, into the muffler, out at two inch, then up to 2.25, horrid, reverse joins and restrictive welds, etc. I have been told it goes down to 1.75" in the muffler, but I havnt seen so I cant say for sure. whatever way you look at it.

Mine is going in to have it replaced with something that is 2.5 all the way through, and I am getting some dogs on at the same time, I am over the drone, sounds like awanna be racer with a VN sixpack

Chris the most restrictive part of the XR6T exhaust is the CAT...that's what we have been told from APS and other people.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yeah, sorry George, But I assumed that went without saying :pinch: , but you are correct none the less. :kissmy:

But if you were to have a terible accident with a long drill bit and your cat, then who knows, anything could happen

I will let you know.

Let someone else drive it,stand behind it and let them floor it.

I dropped SWMBO at work floored it...well you reckon I didnt hear about it,from her and her boss.

Already tried that, I still dont think its over the top loud, if I ever get pulled up for it I might think about getting some dogs put on, but in toowoomba if your cars not a silvia, 180sx, skyline, lancer, or WRX your left pretty much alone.

I donno about that dude, somewhere on this forum there is a picture of rear resonator pulled apart, I think brain (bcl) did it. It doesn't look restrictive, it's just two 2.25" straight through pipes, it doesn't reduce is size at all.
