I work in Canning Vale, live in Forrestfield.
I honestly don't care too much if I have to travel a bit (Malaga isn't that far anyway - but fk going to Joondalup to get a muffler change :P)

Hi guys,

The question is for an FG MKII XR6T Sedan. After no success in finding anything for the rear muffler without cutting the stock pipe/muffler, I am after pics of what you guys have done to remove the middle muffler and whole section with the hotdogs in place. Single 3inch or twin 2.5 inch fit? I am only after a little more noise with as less drone as possible, none would be perfect. I have found pics of BA/BF. I am looking for something where the middle section has been taken off completely and untouched (no cutting) and a new section made up so the two are interchangable.

Thanks.

Still chasing pics of a custom twin 2.5" centre section, stock cat to stock rear pipe.

Spoke with a shop who reccommended a 3" middle section with a smaller resonator. Not worried about the performance side of things but how will this go enhancing the noise? I am assuming it isn't so much the stock pipe work but but the stock muffler itself that is what makes it so quiet.

It makes it louder for sure but imho it sounded like sh*te.

I did this mod straight away and within two weeks I was sourcing a new muffler to go back in.

Edit: just saw you mentioned a new resonator rather then just straight pipe. Sound may be ok.dont go straight pipe

No straight pipes. I want to minimise any drone and just have a slightly louder more raw sound. Not sure what an avg cost is for this but sitting at the shop now. Hope I don't hate it.

It will sound excellent with a hotdog muffler in the centre and a smaller rear resonator. :spoton:

It will also sound excellent with any of the available cat-back systems on the market.

I am keeping the stock rear muffler, just putting in a 3" section in place of the factory middle section with the hot dog in there too. I like the Youtube clips so can't see why I won't like this.

The nizpro system I has now has a resonator with a rear muffler.resonator helps kill the drone on a 4 inch system so should be good
