I removed the exhaust from the cat back on my XR 6 NA and had 2.5 inch stainless pipes, small straight through centre muffler fitted, but it was too loud. So I had a small muffler fitted to the tail pipe. It ended up with quite a good note without too much drone, the fuel usage was slightly better, didn't notice much power change. :omg:

Hope this helps,

Brian.

Had the system put on, then taken off again as she was way too loud. Cannot work out why as it was beautiful and quiet in Geeas.

Maybe because it's a manual? The car was ecessively loud outside to the point it sounded like it was missing half the exhaust system! :o

There was more responsiveness in acceleration, but the main difference was more power higher in the rev range, as you could feel it breathing better.

The only other problem I have encountered was over boosting. The differnce with mine though is the internals of the Cat have been taken out so I suggest it would have been quieter with the stock Cat and the straight through pipes? :o

Mate thanks for the tip, took a look at the Pic, sounds good. Had to put 2 resenators on my old TX3 as it droned to the point it made your ears drums burst!

Can you remember how much the Dogs cost?

Geea, hope you don't mind me cutting up the system? :spoton:
