When gettin the centre muffler removed for around $100 give or take are people just getting it cut out and rewelded or is that to get it unbolted from in front and behind and gettin twin pipes same length made up with the bolt up flanges so you can change it back anytime you want? You would need new ford flanges and maybe gaskets for the replacement pipe section.I just went pipe at first, had that cutout then got a resonator. Would cost a bit more to get a whole new section made.

Putting in a hot dog/resonator would probably give a better sound.

I've considered getting this done but want to know what it sounds like first, as everywhere I've looked there seems to be mixed reviews. I've heard claims that there's less drone with a manual? Any extra advice would be appreciated.

IMO it does sound better on manuals.
