I guess everyone likes certain noises. I will try and take some video and post them up later on. On youtube they do sound like tractors, but mine doesn't. But I reckon it will once recorded. kink Member 294 Member For: 16y 3m 12d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 01/10/11 12:13 AM Share Posted 01/10/11 12:13 AM I have noticed that after a week or two, the pipe installed has got a carbon build up and the tone has quietened down a little. Still sounds good though

Was it the rear muffler you removed?I'm not overly interested in any extra power, nor in hoon like sound, just something a little extra compared to stock.Cost versus benefit has me thinking removing the rears only.Any thoughts. kink Member 294 Member For: 16y 3m 12d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 03/10/11 09:13 AM Share Posted 03/10/11 09:13 AM EWT, I had my centre muffler removed, and the exhaust bloke said he thought he should have taken the rear out, but after driving it I was happy. It is louder when started up (lumpy, big cam V8 spec (not quite lol)), as it would be, but once it is warmed up it is fine. 80-120 bugger all noise, unless hard accelerating, which sounds a little louder than stock but waaay better hehe. Good bit of crackle too.As I said in my write up, around town don't drive in D, sounds silly, in P it is good, and manual mode it is great fun.In my opinion it could sound better, but it is $120 compared to at least $1000. So when you consider that it is great IMO. It is good to hear the revs now...

Is this correct?

It was loud, crackled etc. I liked it.However I then put on an xforce catback (dump and cat will go on when it gets tuned) and I'm much happier with that. deeper, quieter note, can still here it crackle if you listen hard but it's subtle unlike the straight pipes.Internet sound clips don't do exhaust systems justice what so ever, I don't know why people bother trying to record them (unless you have really good recording equipment)
