But is the $180 worth it?? Does it do anything apart from change the sound?

Nah buddy for 180 bucks tell em to stick it! I went to a Bay Rd exhaust In Cheltenham and they removed my centre muffler and put straight through pipes for 80 bucks.

Today however (after many months of having these pipes) I ripped them out and replaced them with hotdogs. Sounds way way way better, still get a nice burble at idle but doesnt drone. When I had my straight through pipes put on, at about 50-60kmh, I get a massive drone\borring noise inside the cabin. Sounded shiithouse!

If you plan to remove your centre muffler I would recommend the Hotdogs over the Straight through pipes anyday!

Cheers

Matty

Hey guys,

Would there be warranty issues with doing this mod?

- Not sure about every one else's dealers, but I'm really not liking Jefferson Ford in mentone!

Seems if I have CD's in the glove box - that's a warranty void. :bangcomputer:

You could argue that removing the muffler does NOT increase performance couldn't you?

So a cat back exhaust is alright under warranty?????

usually, if you have a problem caused by it, then they won't repair it under warranty, however if its something completely unrelated, you should be fine :bangcomputer:

Senna T you have a bloody hard time defending Ford, I know I have been guilty of accusing them of the occasional wrong misdoing or two.

Love your work, great to see a Ford ermployee and enthusiest on the Forums.

Thanks Scotty, I think the thing we have to remember here is that its the dealerships that suck, although sometimes Ford aren't much help to us either. The warranty is there in black and white in your Service Book, if you have a problem, read it and understand properly what the warranty allows and doesn't allow, some dealerships are more forgiving than others though
