80$!?

I tried to get this done, and they wanted to charge me 400$ for it.. just for straight through pipe, no hotdog

Anyone know where I can get this done in the Perth area? ;\

Grapnel Mufflers in Balcatta are the only exhaust place I rang who would happily remove mufflers and weld in pipe. They quoted $140 and were the only place who didn't automatically try to sell me a whole new system. (ie they'll actually do what you ask for).

hi,

new member here. Just recently bought an 04 envy green xr6t ute. After alot of reading on the forum about exhausts think I have decided to get the centre muffler removed and replace with straight pipe in stead of with the hotdogs. doing it for the sound effect and as it is a ute drone wont effect me (hence opting not to use hotdogs). Just wanted to ask if anyone new a good exhaust shop to go to on the south side of brisbane that do good work.

any help would be great :stupid:

P.S, I like a nice loud sound but dont want it to end up like a B&S ute( :w00t2: loud) I want a nice hway note but then when you put ya foot down people will notice. is the straight pipe to loud? or is it the way to go.

exotic exhausts in sumner park...... If you want it loud leave the hotdogs out!! when you replace the centre muffler ask them to make it flanged so it bolts straight in and make sure its mandrel bent!! should set you back about $270 for a good set up.

They saw you coming mate, I went to my local exhaust shop mate and for the exact same procedure was charged a whole $30. I checked the welds, nice pool effect and no splatter, and most of all no leaks. Pitty your on the other side of the country.

they didnt see him coming.... $80 is still a bargain for the work done! and who says its not stainless??

$30 is also VERY cheap but I bet the materials are too!

In the mood to do the straight pipe or twin hotdog thing to my centre section....

Any pointers for someone in Adelaide who'll do it for the right price and not try to sell me a full catback and tell me 'its too noisy' stories like the three places I've rung already, and preferably in the western burbs or close by... :)

Or if anyone has a section sitting around....I know Vik did once and I wish I'd picked up his dogs when they were on offer. :)
