Question for Geea,

I just went to the exhaust guy in town and I told him what I wanted done. He said there would be a problem getting the flange plates to put on the piece that he would be inserting into where the centre muffler section used to be, as he doesnt know anyone who makes them yet. Geea, did you get the plates chopped off of your original section and welded back onto the replacement section or are the plates available from somewhere, if they are does anyone know where. He is going to do some searching but I though it would be quicker to ask on here.

Thanks.

Fastfit in Frankston sent the gaskets to a laser cutting place and got the flange plates made up from them. Your bloke could do this or he could possibly get in touch with Fastfit, Frankston and ask if he could buy a set of them. Or you could get in touch with them and supply your own flanges.

Can anyone recommend a place in Brisbane that could do this muffler work for me?  I have an APS exhaust system...now want it to crackle and rumble a bit louder!  :w00t2:

"Gonzo" is your man in Brisbane for all things exhaustingly loud. You'll find him in the Phone book under G.

Scotty

Also...

Exotic Exhaust at Sumner Park.

IMHO very hard to beat in value for money. $80 for my centre muffler bypass pipes.

After several "You want to do what" responses to my remove the centre muffler enquiries, eventually found a WA outlet that actually new what iIwas talking about -Mandrel bend, flanges, 2.5" with hotdogs $360 (Agreed to replace stock and refund $240 if unhappy with result) nice note, no drone and improved throttle response!!

Geea,

how much were you charged to get your flange plates cut? The place in town was gonna charge me $40 each, so I said no worries, he then said there is a $100 minimum cutting charge so I thought an extra $20 making it $100 neat. He then said no the extra $100 is ontop of the $40 each then add labour.

f*ck YOU MATE. :pooh:

So I am getting the original ones cut off and put onto the other exhaust and will get extra plates later.

Not sure on the price of the plates. I know that Fasfit got a few sets cut at the same time. I think it was 10, but not sure. That price he's quoting you is a rip off.
