I've been told by my panel beater that they are needed to stop the exhaust from moving unnecessarily which may be the cause of a slight burn to myBumper near the exhaust tip. Shy, in Ciaran's sig it says he has a BF?.. If so you will need two of those tips. I got the 2.5" inlet which wasn't a hassle to make fit the 2.1/4" outlet of the muffler.
