Never had any say Panda I <3 Floods Silver Donating Members 11,198 Member For: 13y 3m 17d Gender: Male Location: South West QLD Posted 05/06/12 11:46 PM Share Posted 05/06/12 11:46 PM Anyone done a rear muffler removal? Been doing a bit of reading around and found the use of rear muffler removal with Helmholtz chambers works really effectively on commodores to eliminate the drone. Without the Helmholtz chamber apparently it's drone city..You'll see the 'J' pipe on the lower muffler.. This is just a sealed bend (only open where it welds into the exhaust) approximately 29" long with a 180 degree bend in the middle to match to 115Hz frequency engines in the Commodores.. Makes it louder and apparently eliminates drone..Surely the same principle could be applied to the falcons..
