I just bought a car with centre muffler removed and it is the worst thing about the car by far. I cannot wait to get another muffler installed.

Straight pipes and auto sounds woeful, but I've really grown to like the hot dog swap in a manual, louder all round with a nice pop/crackle on gear change and deceleration. I'd recommend it for people wanting a bit more noise, doesn't have a deep note like a full exhaust has but will definitely be heard especially up in the rev range.

spoke to muffler place today about doing this mod and he said that its worth while doing if all youre after is more noise. he told me around $150 to do it, as they weld up flanges rather than just join the pipes (that's how I understood it anyway.) I really hope I dont hate it or ill be going with hot dogs shortly after.

mine is auto. im guessing the auto keeping the revs pretty constant and uniform gives it a drone? I havent booked it yet I might try search some videos.
