Placement of camera may affect it. Get a mate to grab the camera and move it further away, then idle/rev it again?

That's what mine sounds like on a vid clip, that is why I haven't posted one.

It is quiet, but on the video it is loud and crackles...

Possibly move the camera away from the ground too, could be getting reflections of sound waves changing the note.

Yea, I did, still sounds different on camera than in person. Which makes me wonder what these modded exhausts actually sound like...

Hmmm, get a sound engineer and hire a studio? Lol. Yeah never sounds the same on video.

Just changed mine yesterday. Had an old centre section ex my XR6T with muffler removed.

On the Typhoon, it makes the exhaust note a lot deeper, more like a mild V8.

Easy job to change them.

Most happy with the change

Ok I folded, got over the slightly truck sounding note at pottering around town. So got myself a redback hotdog, welded in place. Muffler Kings at Toowoomba are very efficient and well priced, plus cleanest exhaust shop I've ever seen. Also they welded oldskool, ie- Stick welding, Brilliant job! The pics dont do them justice though. post-32494-0-17312500-1308148219_thumb.j

post-32494-0-83600600-1308148159_thumb.j This is before they let me paint it myself. Alot deeper note and well worth the minimal $$. Got the hotdog from ebay for $50 delivered, easy.

I was thinking of getting the muffler removed too, until I got quoted 190 bucks  the dude said there was ALOT of work involved and takes hours.

anyone in melb had this done and can recommend a place?

im now also thinking of getting hot dogs instead of straight pipes as barra did.
