At 5900 RPM in fifth you should be doing well over 220km/h. In fact it is about 280??? Either the tacho or speedo are reading wrong.

Have you changed wheels or diff?

Standard wheels and 3.45 diff and 0.72 fifth gear????

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I'm with 6man, no way at 5900 in 5th you could only be going 220 :stirthepot:

What revs are you pulling with factory flash at 230 ??

My Auto will pull just over 200klicks in 3rd....

*edit* ... Or did you mean 4900 rpm? 220km/h in fifth is about 4600rpm by calculation ...

Quite right. 4900 on the tacho,220 on the speedo.

Std tyres and diff and rims.

lame. :tease:

Sounds like the edit just needs a quick tweak to allow the RMP in 5th to go above 4900RPM.

Have you give CAPA a call?

I'm off for an EDIT this Saturday,

AND I'm getting the speed limiter removed....

THEN I'm going to see just how fast the T will go.

I'll be running 98 octane, only other mod is a K&N filter...

I think It'll do 280

P.S I suspect the T with the rounded roof becomes a lift generating body @ ~210 kph so I'll be using a plastic spoiler just behind the windscreen to break up the airflow.......

Also...Will be fitting brown pants to hide any  stains....

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Peter just make sure there are No Buffalo or Cows around at the time mate :gfight:

Shat myself on the odd occasion when a Bull steps onto the road when hooking it down the Stuart hwy.

I saw the mess a Horse left 2 Harley riders on the Humpty doo road just past the pub heading back to Darwin.... not nice.. Kangaroos are fine as they are all small wallabies up here but the cattle are quite solid.

Talking about Dirty pants..... I was just the Darwin side of Adelaide River bridge (the short windy bit ) one morning @ 7 am on my bike and a wallaby stepped out in front of me and I hit the skids hard but knew I could stop so tried to go around him.. Well he saw me and literally pissed himself as he tried to change direction and it sprayed all over me…. F@@@RKKKKKKKKKKKK stink!!!!! I missed running over him and stayed on the bike but copped the golden shower from him. :gfight:

Good luck mate but take care!

That must make a good story for drunken parties. "I once copped a golden shower from a wallaby, true story".

Wallabies in abundance in the early morning but nowhere near like the numbers in WA, Buffs + cattle are OK they usually move pretty slow. The hawks are the miggest problem at the moment, they're all over the road in dry season... Hit one on the way to Darwin...

My missus hit a dog in the T, she was doing 180 at the time....the front end bent, buckled and sent a shower of little $1400 bit and pieces of plastic everywhere, the dog, in a final dying jesture managed to also dent the drivers door....

Anyways, Walbro fuel pump, injectors and a valve springs next I guess...Custom edit and well see what it'll do then.
