You havent got a pipe off already ??

Mate, there is no doubt there is a hugeeee diference between stock and 9 or 10 psi.

Cant comment on the 8psi, but you must be able to feel it.

Was this a custom tune, or CAPA pre-sets ??

Sure feel sorry for ya.

Maybe ya got a N/A box ??

If its a new box you had never used till today, see if you can get in to a CAPA Tuner, and get em to reload the default 8 and 10 PSI Maps and see how she runs after poking them in again.

Gotta be the wrong tunes in the box :kissmy:

A couple of quick checks before you go too far:

1. Check the clip that holds the intake pipe to the IC outlet. Change this to a clamp ASAP.

2. Make sure you have the best 98RON available in the tank.

3. Re-gap your plugs to at least .98 or less.

That ought to get you going OK.

BTW, what is the ambient temps and humidity like there today?

If it was warm and humid, ask CAPA to supply you with the "Qld tunes" in your flasher. They are different as they are set for higher ambient temps.

Good luck and let us know how you go. :stirthepot:

Problem was loose intake hose at throttle body.

Thanks Ford service...... :nono:

I'd checked everywhere else, :spoton: Eddie at Winnellie Performance picked it up.

1, done now, that old clip is useless and used to blow off on the when it was standard....

2, done, well, the best 98RON you can get here....

3 Will do.

good advice, got the EDIT working this morning

Drove back today, nice acceleration between 120 and 180 KPH, car goes VERY well.

went down my bit of road and tested the top speed......I was running 98RON new K&N filter and reclamped IC hoses. Plugs were NOT re-gapped. A rather warm / humid day ~29 /30 at a guess and the 3rd progmam was loaded. Those who selected "slower" were correct, as a matter of fact, it's slower with the CAPA edit than with the standard ford flash! Tacho hit 5900RPM IN 5TH AND DID NOT BUDGE. 220KPH. :spoton: After a while, the temp guage hit 3/4 and I backed off. had to crawl home at 170.

so...wassup? out of fuel? Conservative top end on to "performance" map?

Will try the 8psi map later...

At 5900 RPM in fifth you should be doing well over 220km/h. In fact it is about 280??? Either the tacho or speedo are reading wrong.

Have you changed wheels or diff?

Standard wheels and 3.45 diff and 0.72 fifth gear????

*edit* ... Or did you mean 4900 rpm? 220km/h in fifth is about 4600rpm by calculation ...
