I had my t in for service and warranty work last week.

part of the complaint was oil leak in diff and strong smell of fuel.

when I got it back they said they could not find any fuel leaks and the have retensioned the diff filler plug.

on the way home I refueled the car and then parked it in my garrage.

the next mourning when I went out to the car there was a strong smell of fuel and a puddle under the diff.

I took it back to the dealer straight away and when the put the car on the hoist it appears that fuel is leaking from where the filler pipe goes into the top of the tank, only leaking when it is full, running down onto the diff then the ground.

the fix for this problem is to replace the fuel tank and this takes two days cause the have to remove the whole rear end to get to the tank.

what I'm trying to say is get them to check if it is not a fuel leak as well, but keep on to them and make sure it is all fixed to your satisfaction.

They come with silicon from new you can only re-silicon it or make up your own rubber gasket and that fixes it for good. If it is leaking from back cover plate, if its the axle entry then it needs a new seal..
