Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 28/05/05 08:03 AM Share Posted 28/05/05 08:03 AM It was farking freezing there too, so with winter getteing colder who knows... I'm still looking for my nuts after a few hours on sitting on the concrete slab and the freezing air! It was worth it to see the boys go hard at it like they did. Posted 28/05/05 10:23 AM Share Posted 28/05/05 10:23 AM Thanks to everyone for all the great comments, it makes getting the time even better.Good effort and well deserved mate Must have been the way Rumble was run in a CYA JEFF <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think you're right Jeff, I couldn't have achieved what I have without all the work you originally put into the car. Thanks for helping make it possible. What an absolutely fantastic effort. Firstly a 10.92 then backed it up with an even quicker 10.87! Well done Craig, H.P.F. & Kewish. A bench mark for all to aspire to!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Spot on Bloan. The guys that made the car what it is today, HPF and Kewish, deserve most of the credit. It's so easy to get it to run quick.congratulations Craigvery well deserved to I might add, just goes to show that persistance pay offfor those that got to see it will know what I am talking about & for those that missed it you can only dream about ityou were on a mission tonight Craig very well done regardsrod<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rod, the guys here need to be made fully aware of what you did last night aswell. Rod ran a new PB of 11.56 making his ute the fastest FPV product by a long way. Rods bulit this car and has created an awesome machine.Geea. Posted 28/05/05 10:33 AM Share Posted 28/05/05 10:33 AM Those results are just plain awsome Craig congrats again mate ..well done. What have we done since last week to pick up the 1/2 sec?Im not sure your outright KW's has changed that much! is it more fine tuning and more mid range tourque, Tyres, less weight, driving skills, just a combination of things or has it just all finally fallen into place?I read you may have added the edit as well?Whatever you did it bloody worked a treat and now all the records are yours for now .... You have just gotta hang onto them now <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Last week I ran a best of 11.07. All that is different with the car from normal street trim to last night is the fuel, theexhaust was dropped to save the cat, removal of the passenger seat and a slightly different tune. I tried to get less heat into the car on the line compared to last week which helped alot I think. I'm using the MT Street tyres which are still on the car. I'll probably leave them on quite abit, they're great. The car does have an edit which helped a great deal. I have an increased rev limit which means I can hold 3rd across the line. I don't think I could have run the 10's without the edit.congrats craig..can we all be expecting to see a 9 in the future? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think 9's are well beyond me. I'm happy with the time I have the big boys can go after the 9's.geea, can you feel what your time is going to be when racing, ie how well the launch went..or was it a total surprise when you saw/heard (I dont know what they do) that 10.92 was your time? well done again..<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Not really. I know when I've messed up and it will be alot slower but its hard to tell an 11.1 from a 10.8. I wasn't surprised by the times, I was very relieved though.Congrats buddy, thanks for keeping me awake on the way home last night too .Well done, a 10 is an achievement to be proud of and I know what you have been through to get there. Now I promised Renata that once you got a 10 your mid life crisis would turn the corner, I didn't say if it would be for the better or the worse though <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Deano, thanks buddy. We've been through most of it together and no doubt you'll be out there again soon. We need to get you back in front of Sly.It was farking freezing there too, so with winter getteing colder who knows... I'm still looking for my nuts after a few hours on sitting on the concrete slab and the freezing air! It was worth it to see the boys go hard at it like they did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You should have said hello Steve, I never realised you were there. It would have been good to say hi and catch up. It was bloody freezing though, the colder the better.Geea.

Posted 28/05/05 10:36 AM Share Posted 28/05/05 10:36 AM I spent most of the afternoon with Rob @ HPF. The bloke is a genius. The cars back in full street trim and it was a pleasure to wacth and help Rob for the day. Without Rob's abilty to get the car as it is with the help of a great team it wouldn't be the car it is. Rob keeps telling me that Marty deserves most of the credit as he's been tuning it so a big thanks to Marty too.Geea.
