I have had a noise that occurs every morning when I leave my driveway.

It sounds like a brief fanbelt squeel (rubber on rubber), lasts about 1 second and only appears when its cold.

I have checked my belts and they are find, but I think the problem is turbo related.

The reason I suspect the turbo is that if I slowly drive away I do not get the noise, its only if I give it a bit of revs and the turbo spools up. I may hear it 1-3 times when driving, but once its warm I do not get it.

Has anyone experienced this type of noise ?

The car seems to drive fine, I have also checked the hoses and they are all on tight.

I had a similar problem when my car was cold with a squeek coming from the front of the engine. I tried spraying a little lube on the pulleys near the bearings but couldn't get rid of it. Took it to Ford and they replaced the belt under warranty and I haven't heard the squeek since.

It will be the serpentine belt Zap, get it replaced and also get them to check the pully bearings as both mine and Geea had the same problem also.

Thanks guys.

I was paying closer attention to it and I think it may be the tensioner being sticky, but I might get a chance to check it out tomorrow.
