I have now changed my mind and think she is guilty and that shes a farking liar. This does not change the fact that I think 20 years is way too severe for something that grows from a seed in the dirt. Was there anything of substance in those docos Jman? Couldn’t bring myself to watch it...not a fan of the tabloid style current affairs crap and that’s what the adverts reeked of.Totally agree on the harshness of it, guilty or not their ‘justice’ system is very unjust! Fair or not, their rules are their rules. It's like the Sudanese blokes that bashed the cop last year. Back home that's the norm and they get away with it. Here, it's a different story. You have to be aware of the rules and regs of the place you're going. Smuggle weed to somewhere that has life sentences and the death penalty and you deserve to be locked up or hanged. There was a lot of descrepencies with the case, it would have been ffairly easy to do fingerprints on the packaging, check her whole family and friends, and perform dna testing on the weed to determine possible area of origin. So, a lot of conjecture here, and in my mind nothing conclusive was proven. She may be guilty, or innocent - just a pity proper procedures were not followed, as it would be a disgrace if she's rotting in an Indo jail, being innocent. If she's guilty, she would know, and got what she deserved.Yes, I do realise that, but that was only one aspect of it. If she was caught in OZ, she would have been interviewed on camera, Customs would have recorded everything and the evidence would hve been printed and tested. You miss the point that in Indonesia, it is guilty until proven innocent. Basically the charged has to prover their innocence, something she didn't do. In indonesia, doubt means guilt. As far as the harsh penalties go, if she is in fact guilty (as I beleive she is) she knew the risks, and it's her own fault. While the Docco this week was a little weak, it highlighted how her family is surrounded by drugs, their low life attitudes, and for me, it really highlighted how Schapelle can turn on the tears and act so convincingly distraught whenever she wanted to.Plus, Mercedes looks like Mr Ed's love child.
