Posted 27/05/05 12:50 PM Share Posted 27/05/05 12:50 PM She just got 20 years and has to pay one hundered million rupeiaits just plain wrong.... guilty or not the sentence is fricken ridiculous for what was found in her bags.....Better of being a terrorist mastermind over there... then you just get a couple of years. EXACTLY RIGHT Glen;bomb a nightclub full of overseas tourists in Bali and kill and maim as many as you like and if you're a local(and a Muslim?) you get 2 years. :o Is she guilty?....maybe.Does she deserve 20 years? No way.Bali- for the second good reason...Just don't go!well when u think about it, there was a posibility of life, or even death, so she should be greatful. You are kidding arent you. 20 years in jail, in some piss-ass country in third-world conditions when locals involved in killing 202 people get considerably less. If she should be greatful for that, Id love to see what a good day would be like for her.hey, isnt she serving the jail term here?? by the way, the local "masterminds" who 202 people were never proven guilty.. how would we know who actualy did it?? they were the "aleged"(excuse spelling) "masterminds".. I assure u that the person who should be rotting in jail for the bombings is probably in a hotel or cafe as we speak.. people aren't that dumb.. and hey, as the saying goes, "you do the crime, you do the time"(or something like that)I don't want to argue, just my 2centsyour point is flawed..... they were charged for the bombing just like schapel is charged for the marijuana..... he got 2 years for 202 deaths and she got 20 years for not killing anyone....... and as for the point where you say the the bomber could be steve at the local milkbar... well the guy that put the drugs in her bag could be gary at sydney airport.. you get my drift???and when you say you assure us that the mastermind is sitting at a coffe shop somewhere.... I recogn your right.... as he was released a while back now 20 years is a joke.hey but tell me this.. would u notice carrying an extra 4.2kg around in your backpack.. you do have a very good point, and I respect that, but what evidence is there to say that he did murder those people.. I don't think the government released him because they felt like it, in my opinion he was never proven guilty, but the government didnt want to show their stupidity and mistake, so they put him away for a while.. its all one big conspiracy I guess, it could have even been the government who did it, just to spark another terrorist regime, and put fear in peoples hearts again after 9/11.. in my opinion, which most don't agree with, because she was found with the drugs in indonesia, she should have been fairly tried there, and she was.. and if I do say so, 20 years is better than life, or even death. Were we ever told she put it onto her trolley?, could her brother of picked it up for her from the travelator and placed it on her trolley?? If he did, how would he of known how much it weights.just a couple of points to think about. I know that when travelling with my mother and sister... I picked up their bags of the travellator and put them on their trolleys for them (out of common courtesy) But yet, I did not know how much their bags weighed when they packed them. Not having a go, but there are many ways to look at it...... even if she is guilty, I personally believe 20 years is too much for carrying marijuana... a product that was put onto earth by what?? nature?? Guest Guests Posted 28/05/05 03:47 AM Share Posted 28/05/05 03:47 AM I'll never go back to Bali again after this, when I was there this year people were trying to sell you drugs every where. No Aussies should ever holiday there again the whole place is set up to rip off round eye anyway, just look at how they act the minute you come through the air port, the dirty bastards can't keep their hands off you. No way you could tell there was 4kg of drugs in your bag with 3 or more porters (monkeys) touching you in places that'd get you 3 to 5 years here.Little John, I want my Aid money back, she never got a fare go and that's all she'd needed from the start, I think a couple of Billion in Aid should get you a fare go, don't you all?No more jiggy jiggy with Ozzy Ozzy for for you my little friends, go catch your own transport and do your own F'N hair while your at it change your own money. If I want to rip DVDs Ill do from home thanks, it won't get me 20 years that way.

The difference when it comes to drugs under their law is that they don't have to prove you knew about the drugs. The fact that the drugs were in her bag, and she admitted the bag was hers, is enough. This also meant she was pretty much doomed from the start, unless her defence team could find someone else to admit the drugs were actually theirs, or convincing evidence of someone else putting it in her bag. Blind Freddy could see the writing on the wall and understand that the last seven months has been a mere formality in the whole scheme of things. No matter what decision was handed down it would have been appealed, so they might as well save the real fighting until then! But as usual the media scum are involved and were selling yesterday as “The Final Decision” with live telecast and correspondents on the scene – but it was nothing but a farce to begin with. I just hope we don’t have to hear about it in every news bulletin on the radio and television for the next 18 months until the case is finalised.Trent.
