This is their f*cked Justice system at work.

"An Indonesian court on March 3, 2005, convicted Islamic cleric Abu Bakar Bashir for conspiracy in connection with Jemaah Islamiah’s 2002 terrorist attack on a Bali nightclub that killed 202 people, sentencing Bashir to 30 months imprisonment minus 10 months for time served during the trial. Bashir is reputed to be a leader of the al-Qaeda-linked group. The United States and Australia have praised the conviction but criticized the leniency of the sentence, with Australia calling for prosecutors to file an appeal seeking a lengthier sentence. Bashir’s attorneys insist he, in turn, will file an appeal seeking to overturn the conviction. It appears that the time frame for prosecutors to appeal for a longer sentence is seven days, and that the time frame for the defense to appeal the conviction is 30 days."

Why would any one ever what to go back to such a currupt place like that.

I feel so sorry for the girl.

Just think, just recently 9 Australian service personel died helping the bastards.

I bet the judges won't come to Aus for a holiday.

She has already spent the last 9 months or so behind bars. Guilty or not that is a long enough sentence for anyone even if she was guilty. Considering the low life scum that bombed that night club only got 2 1/2 years. Indonesia's guilty until proven innocent system sure sucks.

You can have a whole speed lab, get caught and still not serve 20 years in Australia.

I wouldnt go over there even if I was paid to , just for the corruption in their whole justice system or should I say injustice system.

Dont they have to prove its hers? wouldnt fingerprinting go a long way towards this? They said, since its in her bag, that's proof enough.

I saw on 60 minutes where another austarlian couple found 3 kilo of marijuana in their bags when they opened their bags in their hotel room in bali.... they took this to the austarlian embassy only to be told to dispose of it and not to take it to the police.

I can now see why they were told this..... because if its in your bag you are guilty, even if you didnt put it there.... kinda sucks if you ask me???

yes, only because of the offence..... if it was heroin or other heavy drugs the short, fat, ugly 50 year old woman could rot in hell.... and so should corby.... but for pot.... the 20 years is a bit too steep even for the fat old chick..... Obviously she would get a few extra years for been hit with the ugly stick but if she got 20 years I recogn she would be serving time for 10 ugly old fat chicks
