Had my auto mod sorted out today - the boys at CNJ in Underwood reckon my ute had one of the noisiest diffs they had heard -Its hard to know - guess it depends what you get used to... a quick call to my mates in ford service and they'll have a new one on the way soon - apparenly its a common problem and they have done quite a few of them... anyone else had an issue???

A mate of mine has just bought a new Territory and was telling me about a clunking noise from the rear.

At the 3k km service last week, Ford said that they were going to replace the diff and tailshaft.......they also said it was a common problem.

Funny how they will not replace my clunking diff...its apparently normal :gooff:

Mine got quieter and quieter the more I lowered the car, standard it was fine, then after a few ks it made itself heard, then I lowered the car on lows and it dissappeared for about 3 months, and then after a few hard flat shifts it reappeared, then I lowered the car again but on lows and it dissappeared again for about 2 months and then after having a couple of bolts come loose on the shock mounts on the leafs it reappeared, and has stayed in a somewhat quiet state.

Wiered, Doesn't stop me punishing it though :stirthepot:

Noticed it in mine, it's livable, so long as it doesn't get worse.
