My car chirps with the trans mod thru 1-2.. might be that I have sh*t tyres (which imo I do) but I do think that the chirp is hard enuff that even with better tyres it would come close if not chirp...

My mods are 2nd CAI, centre muffler and Shiftkit...

The only mods I'd even stand half a chance of doing at the moment are the cheap ones, so among the things I'd consider are 2nd CAI (trying to get this underway as we speak), centre muffler (a little down the track still) and perhaps this Shiftkit you're all talking about.

Miyagi, having done these mods, do you consider the Shiftkit a worthwhile thing to do? Can any tranny workshop fit this? And where is the switch located? You (or anyone else for that matter) got any  please?! :idhitit:

Oh come off it! You sure it's not slipage within the transmission? I would be more than happy to be proven wrong on this if someone is willing to show me. A chirpie for 1 - 2 in a stock car??? I wonder if turtle and mr66 are 'regulars' on the forums, just using alias's to G me up!

Which shift kit did you guys get - Single stage/duel stage or fully adjustable?

I had a quick look on the website and from what I could tell only the single stage is currently available for the T.

just back to the original topic :)

I used to work at a ford dealer when the AU was released, and in all of the 4 speed auto falcons there is a fair diffetrence between planting it and going,

I think the trans pretty much selects neutral, lets the RPM rise to match the gear it will be selecting, then drop it into the lower gear at the right time.
