Fantastic!

Much much better than Episodes 1 and 2. Finally some credibility has been brought back into the Star Wars films after the first two.

Whilst the first action sequence lacked intensity and the fight scene at the start is lacking emotion. The rest of the film builds magnificantly even if it jumps a little from plot line to plot line.

George Lucas I believe whilst not a great director has achieved his goal of telling the story of Anakin and he has done it far beyond all my wildest nerdy dreams. The depth that the story sinks from Anakins characters point of view, is immense and very rarely reached in modern film.

I give it 3 thumbs up.

Scooter,

Hard to make a call on wether the flick would be suitable for someone elses kid but if you let him watch Gladiator or Kingdom of Heaven than this is way less visually graphic. It is more so the story that is Dark and the way it is told is very well done.

that's kinda sucky, my sister might be moving to yamba and if I go to visit I cant see a decent movie.

Dazza.

We'll I'll rephrase...

The screen dangles sometimes (wind?) and the corner goes a bit out of focus...The projectors they have are actually some uber high class Italian ones :spit:

Great old fashioned movie theatre and at $5.50 for everyone, its a pretty good deal

Lumpy :spoton:

I cant wait for tonight to see it

To the Guys who' seen it

My 11 YO son wants to see it with me ... all the hype and mixed messages from the news saying its not suitable for kids  .. would it be suitable for 11 YO?????

The lighsaber fights are pretty intense, and there is a few hands, arms, heads and legs that get detatched from there owners, though there is no blood splatter and it all happens very quickly. Though when Anikin slips into the lava river and starts to burn might be a little full on for a 11yo, this scene alone would have given it the M15+ rating. But if the little tacker is a star wars fan, I think he will love it.

Saw it Last Night at the Belgrave (Vic) cinema's - no lineups straight in.( I expected long lineups)

This was the scene I covered his eyes .... it was a bit full on but the rest of the movie was fine. A bit of subtle comedy every so often ...all in all pretty good movie.

I am not a Star Wars fan, I saw eps 4, 5 and 6 as a kid, but never bothered with 1 or 2.

Aaanyway, went around to a mate's place last night and watched it on DVD, had7 or 8 beers and actually fell asleep during it.

My wife and I saw it last night and there were heaps of kids 6yo-> but I thought that you would want to be 11-12 before you saw some of the violence.

It is also a sad movie, but I would have to give it a 9/10

Glad you liked it. I'm going to see it again on tuesday. Did anyone elso see the Millenium Falcon land in courosant just after Anakin and Obi-Wan rescued Senator Palpatine at the start?
