I,m just wondering how many Police persons drive T's.

Velvet Glove (who doesn't post here any more) owns a Blueprint XR6T sedan.

And? Or is that the end of the story?

a mercury silver one tried to give us a run at the lights last night, with indy numberplates TRI24. Looked inside and it was an unmarked cop car.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I had the same thing happen to me. Was driving down Princess Hwy, and this blueprint XR6T came racing down and pulled beside me. At 80k's he went down a gear and ripped away well over 100km/h + Then he slowed right down to at least 60 for me to catch up and did this again! :spoton: 4 times...!!! Then he lowered his window, and gave a smile and spun off to the distance.

I knew it was a cop in the first place, with heavy tinted windows and shade screens to hide the back blue and red lights, he even had two FPV stickers on the back either side...

Rob...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Would this not be considered entrapment, and therefor not legal.

Maybe once, but 4 times, WTF.

Seems a pretty low act. :fishin:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Too much :fish:

Entrapment does not apply here. Its only relevant to "The Bill".

This does not mean that what was done was fair or right, but "entrapment" doesn't come into it. If you were issued with a penalty notice in this instance my suggestion would be to go to court and explain the behaviour to a magistrate.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Rob what suburb were you in?

Are police officers allowed to go over the speed limit without there lights on?

Let me spell it out for you Rob, you seem a litte slow on the uptake tonight (slower than usual :fishin: ). Thread is about cops that drive XR6Ts, VG is a cop and owns a XR6T...let me know if you require further clarification! :spoton:

Yep seen it a few times, I sighted it on the gateway Friday morning attending a minor crash where a semi had slid off the road and was half stuck in the ditch.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I have seen it on the gateway numerous times the latest was on Saturday morning, it was on the side of the road on the gateway and it had pulled over a gto monaro :spoton:

Has anyone in QLD noticed the number of unmarked new Magna patrol cars getting around? Drove past a party on Saturday night and saw one out the front presumably attending a noise complaint, with the whole areals and crime stoppers stickers deal

I've seen countless on the road, to the point where I'm more vigilant of the Magnas that Falcons and commodores. They don't seem to be removing the hubcaps like they do on other D cars.

I assume it's part of the government deal with mitsubishi to keep them from going broke in Australia.
