Trust me. as a long term Silhouette owner who gets obsenely close to his car (see wash counter) the fleck is blue.  Any gold (a la WRX Sti Black) is an impostor.

I can look up the paint code if the forum really wants it...

cheers

I'm not questioning this.. the only reason I asked was I didn't know if there was a difference, but it's clear that the blue is factory.. we both have the same ST paint code and he was told from the origional owner that the car hadn't been changed or damaged since purchase, but somethings not right somewhere.. we're only trying to work out how this can've happened. A vehicle inspection by RACQ showed no signs of damage repairs.

is the flake added or premixed... could of been a factory blunder maybe?? is itr a 2 component paint and the mix is wrong?? if so the gold flake could be dominant but the blue flake is actually in there too??

Fcuks me :spoton:

Theres's absolutely no blue fleck in the paint.. we've had the car under several different light sources hoping to find inconsistancies in the paintwork, but can find none.

ST is the code for Silhouette. Silhouette ONLY has blue fleck. Harvest Green and Mandarin have gold fleck. Unless they was some kind of stuff-up in the factory when it was painted then it has been resprayed. You can usually tell if a car has been resprayed because it looks a lot better than the factory job and actually has paint all over. :spoton::spoton: Also there will be no orange-peel effect like you get with the factory paint job.
